This page provides documentation for each Task posted to AER's SESARM project web site.
Data are available for the Production Run for both domains 1 (36-km grid spacing) and 2 (12-km grid spacing). For the Sensitivity Runs, data are available only for domain 2.
CSV files are available for download for each plot and table.
The period of evaluation for this contract is the calendar year 2007. The sensitivity runs were evaluated for two 20-day periods. The summer period spanned, inclusive, 28 July through 16 August, while the winter spanned, inclusive, 5 December through 24 December. Note that the ysu.wsm5 sensitivity run for the summer period was not provided to AER for evaluation.
Given that run-to-run statistics from each model segment are highly dependent on the quality of the initial analysis, for comparison purposes note that the initial times of each production run and the sensitivity runs during the summer and winter evaluation periods are not coincident in time. This results in statistics from the production being different than those from the corresponding selected sensitivity run.
In many of the tasks below, data are spatially averaged over a selected number of states and Regional Planning Organization (RPO) domains. Data from the 2000 US Census was used to define the outlines of the state masks for averaging purposes. The states and RPOs are listed next, however, data are not available for domain 1 for the District of Columbia (DC):
